Board Of Selectmen

The Board of Selectmen is a three-member board that governs the Town of Rindge. The board, acting as a whole, is given this authority from NH RSA 41:8: "The selectmen shall manage the prudential affairs of the town and perform the duties by law prescribed. A majority of the selectmen shall be competent in all cases." All actions and decisions made by the Board of Selectmen must be voted upon by the majority of the board at a public meeting, as outlined in RSA 91-A, the Right to Know Law.

The Select Board members are elected by the residents of Rindge to serve the Town for three years. The terms of the members are staggered. Every year, in March, a new member is elected at the Town Meeting. If you are interested in running for office, please contact the Town Clerk for details.

The Board typically meets every other week on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room at Town Offices, 30 Payson Hill Road. Public notices for meetings are posted on the calendar, on the Public Notice page, and at Town Offices. If you have a concern or issue that you would like to bring before the Board at a meeting, please email the Town Administrator with your request to be put on the agenda. Requests need to be sent, with all documentation, no later than 12:00 pm the Thursday before a meeting to be considered.

The Board of Selectmen does not have office hours at Town Offices. Listed on the Contact Page are the Administrative Staff who work closely with the Board of Selectmen, and they are happy to assist the residents of the Town. If you would prefer to contact a board member directly, their emails are listed on the Contact Page. If you would like to speak with a board member, please call the Executive Secretary. She will give your contact information to the board member, and they will return your phone call.
